The principles I learned in 7 years here

I've learned a lot by surfing these subs. I internalized it and am really happy with where I am. I wanted to take a minute to pay it forward and distill what I've internalized into first principles.
First, a bit on my background. I was always interested in being FI and know that money doesn't equal freedom, but it is an aspect of freedom (if nothing else, freedom from worrying about meeting basic needs). I was saving heavily in my mid 20's but was also working for a nonprofit. I was saving 50% of my income but it honestly wasn't amounting to all that much.
I wound up spending about a year teaching myself data science before and after work. I was really motivated by the field and, luckily for me, it turns out to be quite lucrative. I also started skydiving. That meant moving to a shared 1 bedroom apartment with somebody I butted heads with so I could afford it and not overly sacrifice savings goals. That was a tough call because skydiving is expensive, but it also made me much more risk tolerant and a generally happier and less reactive human. Skydiving taught me that most of my fears were unfounded (evolution predisposes you to fear more than you have to) so I geared up for a big life change.
When I was good enough at data science, I quit my job in the nonprofit and moved to San Francisco to do a 3 month bootcamp program. Everybody thought I was nuts. That drained my savings virtually down to the last dime (with no debt though). I got my first job in the industry making very little money in a role where I would learn a lot. I loved it and got a promotion in (I shit you not) 2 weeks of being on the job. That was my first 6 figure income.
Zoom forward four years and I'm at a major company with a significant equity stake, financially comfortable, and having just bought a home. Not quite yet FIRE but getting close depending on how my company stock does.
Obviously everybody's path is different. But principles are more universal. With all that, here are the main principles that lead to my success:
  1. Find the global maximum. I was top of my game in that nonprofit with a relatively good income and title, but I was growing unhappy and knew I wouldn't make my longterm goals. It was a tough call to quit, drain my savings, and move. But I did it and now I feel like I'm in a global personal maximum for life satisfaction, earning, etc. This means longterm thinking
  2. Stay balanced. I almost burned myself out on FIRE multiple times. I started seeing everything as costs. Be scrappy on everything but what makes you most come alive. That's crucial for longterm motivation
  3. The best investments are always in yourself. Active recovery, eduction, socializing, etc. are the best investments you can make. They're bad investments on the short term but great on the longterm
  4. Save on housing until you're ready to purchase a home. My rule was that I'd live with roommates until I had enough for a down payment. When covid happened, I decided I wouldn't buy a place until the market rebounded so I let my investments sit until they rebounded, sold, and purchased a home. Most people lose too much money on housing
  5. Never pay interest. This is an exaggeration but it's the biggest lifetime expense for more people. I pay some interest but both my small car loan and mortgage are below 3% interest. That means, with inflation, my money is likely better in the stock market than paying back those loans. So apart from that interest, I've been lucky enough to manage to avoid it like the plague
  6. Take risks and experiment. Most people are way too risk adverse, scared to place strategic bets. I've lost a lot of money on risky things but have gained so much more in experience. Spending thousands on bitcoin miners in the early days while on a shoestring budget? Lost a lot on that. But it resulted in learning an appropriate way to buy crypto and the net effect was many more thousands of dollars in gains
  7. Have mentors/models. If you don't do this explicitly, you default to modeling your behavior on whoever is around you. Think of who your top models for behavior are (financial, relationship, etc) and figure out what makes them tick. For me it was Mr. Money Moustache, some abundance-oriented technology thought leaders, and some anti-consumer friends who were militant about how owning things doesn't make you happy
  8. Don't defer pleasure. I came to realize that many of my thoughts on retirement were quite Catholic (thanks, dad). In other words, I was deferring pleasure until retirement like my Catholic father was deferring pleasure until the afterlife. Be fiercely present and enjoy today. Finances are only one part of life satisfaction
  9. Have an abundance and growth mindset. Most people think of money as a scarce resource. It's not. Anybody can generate it given enough time and effort. Think big picture and work incrementally towards it rather than accepting the career progression of your peers or employer. Most people underestimate how much employers will recognize a strong sense of drive and personal responsibility
  10. Change is necessary. For the Buddhists, that's the source of all suffering. Do we want to sacrifice the mediocre reality today for the option of a better reality tomorrow? Most people are so change and uncertainty adverse they can't adapt to more beneficial situations. Being open and curious and optimistic about change is necessary, otherwise the mediocre today seems like a better bet or you'll change and then quickly regress. The opportunity cost for change is whatever situation you currently find yourself in. Make sure you're ok with this and have the confidence to course correct if you get in over your head
TL;DR - Reality is malleable. You can achieve whatever you want as long as you take a step back, strategize, and then kick some ass. If you adopt some principles and play the long game, you'll ace this whole life thing
Edit: Glad this got so much attention. I feel like I've paid forward the mindset and benefits this sub helped me create. Thanks for being part of that!

I feel redundant

Folks, at the old age I am I feel like I have lost my grip with technology.
In my teens and early twenties I knew all about gadgets the latest craze etc....
Every time I read about bitcoin even when it was being talked about on the good old bodybuilding.com forums I couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
As I’m getting older I have begun to think more about retirement, god willing I see that old age. In about 12 years if I leave early or 22 if my investments don’t pay off.
I pay into an ok private pension. I have paid into regular 10 year saving plans with the first to mature in three years with about £3k every year thereafter.
My question is this and please forgive for sounding outdated and left behind. I want to invest in bitcoin for the long term. I have no desire to make payments with it as I prefer the old way of cash. I believe that it will hold me in good stead in 12-22 years.
I am not switched on enough with terminology and the like with bitcoin. I can do stocks and shares that is easy. I don’t trade I invest. I put my money into solid company’s and forget about it for a few years unless I hear something detrimental.
I just want to invest in a single bitcoin and forget about it... whether it goes up or down today tomorrow next month or next year makes no difference to me really just that hopefully when I do need it it’ll have matured nicely.
Can I just leave it and forget it in say Coinbase?

Mining Ethereum in 2020. It's a good time.

There are two main theories about how ETH will develop further. One suggests that ETH is completely dependent on Bitcoin, it rises and falls along with it at the same time. The second theory argues that Ethereum may soon lose its altcoin status and become an independent cryptocurrency - according to researchers at the San Francisco Open Exchange (SFOX), for example.
Since the beginning of the year, ETH has risen in price by more than 34%, and this trend continues. Some experts expect the coin to rise to $400- $500 by the end of 2020, the most positive optimists expect it to reach $2,000 in the next year. And all because of the DeFi’s boom and the massive tokenization process, which became possible thanks to the Ethereum technology.
Foolproof Mining
Today, to start mining Ether, you do not need to undergo special training or be super tech-savvy. Forums have useful information for beginners. Mining equipment manufacturers are investing more and more money in creating the most productive and easy-to-use and energy-efficient hardware possible.
According to Technavio's calculations, the volume of the world market for mining equipment in 2019-2023 will grow by $2.7 billion. Users usually benefit from such a race, because when the opportunity to “show off technologies” ends, vendors begin to reduce prices for their solutions and offer special conditions.
As for software, it is better to mine on a specialized one and avoid unnecessary problems. For example, ethOS or CoinFly's COS copes well with high loads, manages mining processes of any scale and on any equipment through a single interface, automates routine and controls income and expenses.
Profit in Mining Pool
Great thing about mining in 2020 is that you can choose a convenient profitable pool that will regularly fill your virtual pockets with Ether and sleep peacefully, read about what to look for when choosing a pool here. The main thing is to understand which one brings more money. Take a look at the CoinFly pool, which according to independent tests’ giving well profit…

The Reddit Bake-Off, Reddit-wide tokenization, and where NANO fits in the future of digital exchange.

I first learned about Bitcoin from a person I met at an interview in late 2017. My primary interest was Bitcoin, but at the time I saw how much profit early Ethereum adopters yielded and I envied them for finding such a successful project in its early stages. My first investment in cryptocurrency was Litecoin. I was attracted to the fact that, although it was essentially the same as Bitcoin, it was faster and slightly less expensive. I dove in and I got rekt.
As time went on I began to do research on different coins. I found Binance and started exploring alts. I'd look at the Binance chart, pick a coin, Google it, read their whitepaper (since I didn't understand the code, eventually I just judged a whitepaper by its aesthetic), and ultimately I would end up on their subreddit. That's how I found CryptoCurrency.
At some point in my journey, a new wave of confidence entered the market. People started talking in the Daily about a new coin that appeared on some weird exchange whose named I had never heard. They said it was instant and free and that it was the absolute epitome of what Bitcoin was meant to be.
Countless users suggested this coin would absorb the entire market cap of Bitcoin.
Its name was strange, RaiBlocks (XRB). I had bought in around $20 at the time the price went from $0-38 in a couple of weeks. Everyone was enthusiastic about the bull run, but it was the technology and its potential for worldwide application that people were excited about most.
Welp, some bad press and a couple of years later and we are now in the depths of obscurity and any mention of NANO in the Daily on CryptoCurrency, the same sub that birthed its popularity in the first place, is chastised. I sadly watched as NANO lost its clout and with it its price. Eventually, BrainBlocks died, which was my favorite project of all, and I exited completely. I even removed NANO from my watchlists because I knew if I saw it I would buy back in.
NANO fell off my radar entirely for about 4 months while I dove head first into DeFi. However, last night I saw the charts looking favorable for a breakout, so I re-entered. Then today as Bitcoin pumped and every other alt dumped, NANO miraculously jumped. I figured the trading bots still oddly tie NANO to Bitcoin and after seeing NANO as the only successful coin in a sea of red, I came back. I also thought maybe the developers knew something we didn't, and the price was increasing before something big was about to happen, but that's just wishful thinking.
Right now, the most exciting corner of the cryptocurrency space is far and away the fact that Reddit is now heavily involved in the future of cryptocurrency integration:
  1. The Great Reddit Scaling Bake-Off is a competition hosted by Reddit to help scale Ethereum well enough to efficiently manage the complete tokenization of Reddit.
  2. As an experiment, Reddit has begun given tokens to posters/commenters at two subreddits for upvoted content: Moons and Bricks at CryptoCurrency and FortNiteBR, respectively.
A user was even able to bridge Moons and Bricks to equivalent tokens on the xDai Network (xMOON and xBRICK), and are literally tradable. For example, I earned 425 moons last month and I bridged them to xMOON and traded them for ETH on Honeyswap. I earned ERC-20 tokens from Reddit, bridged them to another network, and sold them. This, ladies and gentlemen, is not only the beginning of the tokenization of Reddit. This is going to be the beginning of tokenization of everything.
NANO is faster and feeless. An infinite number of blockchains can be created on the block lattice. A community member even generated a Moons to NANO converter, right?
My question is: Is it possible for NANO to bridge ERC-20 and ERC-677 tokens from the Ethereum network to NANO sidechain equivalents. Fore example, NANOETH, NANOLINK, etc.? Why can't NANO participate in the Bake-Off and develop a protocol that bridges NANO and other tokens via sidechains? Is it possible to create a token for every single subreddit and have them run simultaneosly the NANO network? Why isn't NANO in the discussion for this and why haven't we entered the Bake-Off? Is this not the best use case for NANO and the best place to implement the protocol?
To be quite honest, I am back because I think NANO will succeed in some way and I imagine the developers have a plan for marketing with the next hype wave in cryptocurrency. However, if that is not the case, then this project is missing a serious opportunity to become a part of perhaps the single most important incoming disruptor in the cryptocurrency space and economics, err, soon-to-be tokenomics of our society.
People once thought this coin would absorb the entire market cap of Bitcoin, but it's been 3 years and other projects have gained traction and now the spotlight is on Ethereum. Yes, there will never be another coin as fast or as free as NANO, but there needs to actually be use for it for it to become valuable and have a place in the future.
Thanks for reading!
tl;dr - Reddit is tokenizing all subreddits and is actively hosting a competition in order to try to find the solution to Ethereum scaling, called the Bake-Off. I want to know if it is possible for NANO to participate in the Reddit Bake-Off and use its protocol to tokenize Reddit.

MicroStrategy's $425M BTC investment thesis - "buy something that can either get cut in half or 10x"

Amidst all of the DeFi volatility, drama and excitement, Bitcoin has started to seem rather boring. Its price is more or less flat to where it was a year ago and you can’t even farm Yams with it.
While some have started to view Bitcoin as a useless digital rock, someone did find an interesting use case for it. This week, more details surfaced around how MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor convinced the board of a publicly traded company to allocate nearly all of the company’s $500M cash position to bitcoin.
Michael Saylor
Saylor graduated from MIT in 1987 and founded Microstrategy at the age of 24. MicroStrategy is a “Business Intelligence” company, which basically creates software that allows companies to use their own data to drive decision making.
Interesting side note - Saylor, like any good 90’s internet entrepreneur, also bought a bunch of internet domains and was the guy who ultimately sold Voice.com to Block. One (EOS) for $30M.
MicroStrategy’s’ $500M Problem
To most people, having $500 million in cash doesn’t sound like a problem. Up until recently, it wasn’t for large corporations either. There was a time before the ‘08 financial crisis when the risk free rate of return on cash was 5% a year. This means a company could sit on $500M, earn $25M a year for doing nothing, and have cash on hand for a rainy day.
Fast forward to today, when the risk free rate of return has plummeted to 0.69% due to loose fiscal policies (money printer go BRRRR) alongside inflating asset prices, and it’s a different story. In Saylor’s own words, “we just had the awful realization that we were sitting on top of a $500 million ice cube that’s melting.”
Cash is Trash
So what’s a corporation to do with a $500M melting ice cube? It turns out it’s not that easy to unload half a billion dollars in a short amount of time.
You could buy back half a billion of your own company’s shares. For a company like MSTR, Saylor estimated that would take 4 years. Time MiscroStrategy didn’t have.
You could buy real estate. However, commercial real estate prices have collapsed post COVID while property owners still believe their assets are worth what they were in January. In other words, good luck getting a fair market price.
You could buy blue chip equities. Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook. However, your risk is symmetric. They can each fall 50% just as easily as they can go up 50%.
That left Saylor with silver, gold, Bitcoin, and other alternative assets. A move the company announced it was exploring on a July earnings call.
A Bold Purchase
Saylor ultimately wanted something that could either get cut in half, or go up by a factor of 10. An investment akin to what buying Amazon or Apple in 2012 was. In other words, asymmetric risk.
As a student of technological history, Saylor observed that the winning strategy over the last ten years has been to find some kind of “digitally dominant network” that dematerializes something fundamental to society. Apple dematerialized mobile communications. Amazon dematerialized commerce. Google dematerialized the process of gathering information.
Something Saylor noted was common to all recent 10X opportunities is buying when they’ve achieved $100B+ marketcaps and are ten times the size of their next biggest competitor. As Bitcoin is the dominant digital network dematerializing money that’s 10x the size of any cryptocurrency competing to be a store-of-value (not counting ETH here), it fit the bill.
Making the purchase
With the thesis in place, the next thing Saylor had to do was get everyone at MicroStrategy to sign-off on the unorthodox decision. To do this, he simply made everyone go down the same Bitcoin rabbithole that most people in the industry have gone down.
He made everyone at the company watch Andreas Antonopoulous videos, read The Bitcoin Standard, watch Eric Vorhees debate Peter Schiff and listen to Pomp and NLW podcasts. With no strong detractors, MicroStrategy turned to execution. They first put $250M to work purchasing 21,454 BTC in August and another $175M (16,796 BTC) in September for a total $425M and 38,250 BTC.
What’s fascinating is that MicroStrategy was able to open such a large position without really moving the market or anyone even taking notice. This speaks to just how liquid of an asset BTC has become. To acquire the September tranche of BTC, Saylor disclosed that they traded continuously for 74 hours, executing 88,617 trades of .19 BTC every 3 seconds.
One for the history books
Skeptics noted that shares of MSTR have been on the downtrend since 2013, as the real reason behind MicroStrategy’s bold move. Regardless, the move has interesting implications for the company’s shareholders. As TBI observed, MicroStrategy is now both a software company and with ⅓ of its marketcap in Bitcoin, a pseudo Bitcoin ETF. At the time of writing, MSTR is up 20% on the week.
Only time will tell if history looks back on this move as a brilliant strategic decision or a massive corporate blunder. In the short term, it scores a massive win for Bitcoin’s digital gold investment thesis.
Billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones is in. A publicly traded corporation has made Bitcoin it’s primary treasury asset. As CFOs and fund managers around the world undoubtedly take notice, one has to wonder, who’s next?
PS - I based a lot of this article on Pomp’s interview with Michael Saylor, which I recommend giving a listen.

Just for discussion: what percentage of your net worth is in cryptocurrency?

Sitting there today, looking at the dip, and thinking "is there any coin you want to buy currently?" I started to look in earnest how much of my "net worth" is in crypto, and whether it's a comfortable amount (spoiler: it is).
I'm 37, with about $40,000 (Australian dollaridoos) to my name. No mortgage or assets, basically I pays my rent and my bills, and my salary comes in each month.
Probably getting used to the idea I won't be able to get on the property ladder.
Anyway, I pondered this today. I have about $11k in Cryptos (probably half in bitcoin, and the rest scattered around altcoins where I believe the technology is good), which makes it about 25% of my savings.
That's probably right by me. It's below the threshold "I could afford to lose", and below the threshold I might need to convert it to Fiat out of need or emergency.
Frankly, I figure it's the comfortable level, for the money I have. I exited the stock market in June (sorry Buffet, although I'm sure my small contributions did not send shockwaves through the economy), and other than adding a small amount ($100) each week, I don't think it's the right time to invest that way.
As I said, no mortgage or appreciable asset to my name. Or kids!
And so the rest (let's call it $25,000) is in my bank account earning 1%. (Edit: This is only a temporary affair after pulling out of stocks, and deciding where to go next as the world wobbles).
Anyway, that's my story, and I've decided I'm comfortable with 25% (no more) of my savings in crypto - again largely because there's no compelling alternatives, and bank interest is very bland.
I wouldn't go much higher, but I am fairly comfortable to have moved that amount over in the last two years, and on the whole it's appreciated as a store of value by about (napkin maths) 10%.
Just curious on other people's thoughts?

Two sectors you should be investing more in - in my opinion

I know my insights below are nothing revolutionary and you have probably heard them before. However, let this post act both as a reminder and a discussion for these two particular areas, where I believe that you should be investing a lot more into as of right now:

  1. Renewable Energy: Climate change is not a new problem. However, what is new about it is the fact that it is now closer than ever before. Given the current rate of carbon emissions and pollution, the world currently has a timer of roughly 7 years until humans will have permanently changed the climate patterns. Bill Gates has been extremely vocal about this issue as well, especially in the past few months, and whether you love him or hate him, we know better than to doubt his predictions. To invest in this sector, I would look into solar, electrical, and other alternative energy companies, Tesla is probably the most well known on this sub. However, there are some other great ways to get involved here. You can buy other electrical vehicle companies (not NKLA), you can buy battery companies, you can buy solar panel producers, you can buy sustainable agriculture companies, you can even buy companies which are going to act as charging stations for electrical vehicles. If you're not all for trying to pick the winning stock here, I would suggest going with an ETF such as ICLN.
  2. Blockchain: Now this is a more controversial topic since people often confuse blockchain with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin/Ethereum. They are not the same. Bitcoin operates using the blockchain technology - they are vastly different. Although in my opinion, crypto will make a come back in the future again as well - particularly Bitcoin. But why should you invest in this sector? Because blockchain is faster and secure. As the internet reaches every shallow part of the world today, cyber threats are more prevalent than ever before, ESPECIALLY in the financial industry. Blockchain is a great solution to this problem and I believe that this will receive more and more recognition and adaptation moving forward. I personally own some BTC myself, but there are definitely other ways to get involved without having to directly touch cryptos. For example, companies such as NVIDIA and Square are going to big players in the blockchain technology. Moreover, now there are particular asset management firms and banks such as Galaxy Holdings and Silvergate Capital which invest and lend directly in cryptocurrencies. I believe that all of these investments are great. Again, if you're not all about picking the winning stock, you can go with an ETF such as BLOK.
While I laid out my perspective of the future here, I would really love to know more from you guys about what you think about these sectors and also any other sectors that you think people should be getting more involved in.

Lessons from Litecoin

Litecoin is a paradox: despite doing nil for advertising or development, LTC trading volumes and market cap demonstrate Litecoin is a relevant irrelevant coin. In this post, I'm going to draw the parallel between the early days of Litecoin — in which its community was in a frenzy over pumping Litecoin as the silver to Bitcoin's gold — and the present day state of Decred in which its community is in a frenzy over pumping Decred as an apparent "Chad Coin".
Many years ago, back in the heyday of MtGox, the Bitcoin exchange space was in a wild west phase. By sheer historical accident, I received an LTC balance on one of the many now-defunct exchanges from those days. Having become an accidental LTC holder, I decdied to analyse its investment potential.
At the time, the Litecoin community was in a frenzy about being the "silver to Bitcoin's gold", a dubious-at-best narrative that I never found personally convincing. I saw them frenzied up about the silver thing, and it just crushed me:
"Aren't these people concerned about developing their technology? About contributing to the overall space?"
As it turned out, they weren't. They were only concerned about positioning Litecoin as the silver to Bitcoin's gold using the Litecoin.org home page. Sound familiar?
Rather than developing Litecoin's technology, and rather than making any semblance of a substantive contribution to the world, the Litecoin community was enthralled with marketing.
"If only we could improve the website to make Litecoin seem more like The Silver To Bitcoin's Gold™", the community members cried.
But LTC sees trading volume and is valued the way it is not because it is "the silver to Bitcoin's gold" — but because it is the only other coin besides Bitcoin with an immaculate conception. It is a carbon copy of Bitcoin without a premine and without an agenda. This means, in the absence of all marketing, investors know they can hold LTC to maintain a stake in a vehicle which is a clone of Bitcoin.
Such a value proposition would never gain traction today, but because Litecoin was conceived at a time with little to no competition in the altcoin markets, exchanges listed LTC en masse, creating a sulf-fulfilling prophecy.
And you hear not a peep from the Litecoin community about its "silver" angle these days, because positioning Litecoin in that way never mattered. Sprucing up Litecoin.org to capture that positioning was always a waste of time. It was always just a distraction. Just like positioning Decred as chad coin is a waste of time and doesn't and will never matter.
LTC is perhaps the paragon of irrelevant, relevant coins. Litecoin's seemingly undeserved relevancy demonstrates better than anything else the fate of the coin is determined at its conception: cryptocurrency success is in large part hereditary.
"Why was this coin built, and how did they go about it?" — that is what people care about. Concentrated pump efforts are still possible, of course — I exited my LTC position at the same time a literal Chinese ponzi schemer was pumping it — but over time the coin's relevancy merges with its genetics.
You can't put lipstick on a pig and expect the public to be duped by it for a long period of time. Decred has the genetics to succeed: a phreaking censorship resistant treasury built by mad scientists.
"Chad Coin" is a long term non-viable pump tactic akin to "silver to Bitcoin's gold". Gets community members worked up into a frenzy but several years later it counts for nothing. I wish we could learn from history.

Hedge risks
Whenever you’re afraid of losing income due to price fluctuations, buy Put Options (on Binance, for example) oand short ETH futures.
Thank You!

TweeBuck is about to launch... Exciting? Definitely!

TweeBuck is about to launch... Exciting? Definitely!
The concept of finance is not new, it has been in existence since the earliest days of the exchange. Everyone has the opportunity and ability to be successful if they have the right resources, however, one of the most challenging aspects of building a business is financing it and many often struggle in their endeavour to raise the capital required.
Over the years, the concept developed into a centralized system allowing users to trust their assets (money and any other forms of wealth) to 3rd parties with the goal of receiving monthly or yearly interest.
This concept was great while it lasted but as usual, the only thing that remains constant is change.
Cryptocurrency and Blockchain came into existence some years back as a medium to pay for services rendered via digital currency. Bitcoin, the very first Blockchain, was created but served as a one-way payment medium and nothing more. However, developers saw the vision that something more could be achieved using this same technology, but with more features being included. These were called smart contracts.
Smart contracts do not require both parties to be present, they are automated and use real-time data to generate the result.
Ethereum brought this to reality and a few years later, others saw this opportunity and started making use of it to build DeFi apps, which would later become more preferable to CeFi.

https://preview.redd.it/r29i9sgbbzu51.png?width=468&format=png&auto=webp&s=7234ba1a5ad36e13a057d60303c02cc4efa60a13
Decentralized finance, or DeFi for short, is a general term used to represent financial applications or platforms that are built using one or more Blockchain, that make use of smart contracts to create higher returns on investment.
DeFi alone is a great investment option, but the major challenge it has faced so far is a lack of users or a limited number of users whose sole aim is to increase their vested capital. Up until now, it has not been community-driven, which would create something far greater. Tweebaa intends to achieve this.
What is Tweebaa?
Tweebaa is the world’s only earning commerce platform. Its revolutionary multi-dimensional ecosystem utilizes a value-exchange model and provides everyone with the means and opportunity to generate a substantial income. Tweebaa empowers its users by applying their winning team's proven success methods with “DRTV (Direct Response Television)” and helps bring a global network of traffic to their product or business! Tweebaa has all the great communication features you would want within social networking and of course the best marketplace too! Tweebaa paves the way for users to earn money in a variety of ways whilst also providing the emotional, financial, and social benefits that are often unavailable; all this in one app! Whether you are a business, a student, a seller, a homemaker, an influencer, a labourer, or a contributor to society, Tweebaa rewards you every step of the way!

https://preview.redd.it/rbzc2hucbzu51.png?width=468&format=png&auto=webp&s=97bb0492ccf23673cfb671be1370bfcf4ef07fff
Over the years Tweebaa has distributed wealth to both investors and users alike via its token called TWEE and has remained at the forefront of trends and latest developments. Tweebaa is going DeFi (TweeB) and promises to create a revolutionary system the world is more than ready for.
What is DeFi?
The definition might vary when asked by different individuals, but they all come back to the same meaning; decentralized means to render services such as lending and borrowing with no 3rd party involvement, restrictions, delays, the line waiting, and long queues.
DeFi is currently the most talked-about project echoing around the crypto space. Many are raving about it, while some are still critical.
DeFi farming has to do with individuals providing some form of liquidity to the market which in turn creates returns and keeps the market active. It gained massive attention when it came into existence and is still active and a hot topic of discussion today.
Tweebaa is introducing a new token called TweeB which included all the features of a DeFi coin. Tweebaa users will be able to explore and make use of this newly discovered global network.
What makes TweeB so unique?
At the moment, decentralized finance is mainly directed to an investor's interest with the sole aim of investing or rather putting in money and waiting for results (short-term). One can argue that it has yet to actually become a general platform when compared to centralized finance like the banking system, which offers services for every type of person. TweeB plans to reach a much wider user base, not only including the general cryptocurrency investor pool, but also the entire global network available through Tweebaa.
Using Tweebaa’s existing community, TweeB will create something that is totally different and rewards all users, both depositors and borrowers.
Whether you provide liquidity, lend to the TweeB platform, or make use of its borrowing services by providing crypto supported collateral, users can yield returns, regardless of which direction they decide to take.
Combining the power of Tweebaa and TweeB, the more TiV a user holds, the more interest they will generate.
What is TiV?
TiV is an influence value, which reflects a user's contribution to the APP. People can increase their TiV by using the app in various ways including; adding and purchasing products, engaging and networking with other tycoons, inviting friends, and more.
There are many ways users can increase their TiV performance
  1. Buy & Sell products
  2. Invite more friends
  3. Having your posts liked, commented on, or shared
  4. Evaluating Products
  5. Suggesting Products
  6. Having your Tycoonplace being viewed for more than 30 seconds
  7. Follow 5 new friends
  8. Creating a new post

https://preview.redd.it/0e4fip7ebzu51.png?width=468&format=png&auto=webp&s=b81f13f4b676411adff523bc6a2b611d7f1d2e5d
In the field of DeFi in Tweebaa’s ecosystem, the TiV value is similar to the credit value and plays a vital role in relation to TweeBuck (TweeB).
What is TweeBuck and how will users be able to make full use of this platform?
TweeBuck (TweeB) is the next generation upgrade from its token holders. All potential changes, including adding new marks or adjusting system specifications (for example, leverage factors or interest calculations), must go through the proposal and voting process.
TweeBuck (TweeB) is a token which embeds 1:1 voting right to execute composite governance. Token holders of TweeB can simply delegate their voting rights of utility tokens on ERC-20 to their own or other people’s Ethereum wallets address.
How does TweeBuck plan to reward its users?
TweeB is basically a DeFi-based coin and it plans on providing more financial services, when compared to other types of decentralized finance platforms, using the following features and more.
  • Providing Liquidity (Liquidity mining)
  • Depositing
  • Borrowing

https://preview.redd.it/y8zh5tifbzu51.png?width=415&format=png&auto=webp&s=0ebe7a922ebba38b0e1733de2397b5578c8cf460
Liquidity provider
Basically, users will be able to provide TweeB liquidity on a ratio of 50/50 to whichever coin it is paired with, i.e. TweeB/ETH, TweeB/USDT, and more depending on users and what they prefer.
As a liquidity provider, decisions on which pair to trade TweeB with will be totally dependent on users as it should when referencing a decentralized network.
While the above is performed, liquidity providers get returns in TweeB tokens as more swap is carried out.
Deposit
As mentioned above, TiV plays a vital role when interacting with the Tweebaa platform. The more TiV you have, the more TweeBuck (TweeB) you will receive. The TweeBuck (TweeB) amount received will be based on 60% of the users Twee and 40% from their TiV.
By depositing assets to the Tweebaa platform, users will be able to generate returns that are paid based on the pre-calculated format using different scenarios.
More information regarding this can be found in the whitepaper.
Borrowing
Centralized systems like the banking sector, give out loans to customers and in return, those customers provide collateral which can include land, homes, and other assets. However, the world is going digital and so should borrowing.
TweeB allows users to provide collateral in cryptos like BTC, ETH, and other altcoins which then provide users with the assets they want.
They can provide collateral in BTC and take their desired coin to trade; this can be paid back and their vested collateral closed/removed.
Conclusion
TweeB token omics can be further broken down to self-governance. In terms of DeFi, this simply means users will be able to self-govern the TWEEB platform based on the vested amount they hold. This, in turn, creates a scarcer economy giving more value to the token.
Scarcity is one of many ways to provide value to an asset, take BTC as an example with only 21mil total supply. It has, over-time, created a self-sustaining market which depends on holders and how much they are willing to sell at that point in time.
The same can be said about TweeB. Holders will determine how much they are willing to sell or if they prefer holding it, they will have more scarcity and more value.
In conclusion, TweeB hopes to create a system that is both community-driven and investment-wise, resulting in a system that is far more prevailing than anything currently available.
While the future cannot be predicted, users are advised to carry out their own research before investing.
To increase the awareness of TweeB, different events will be hosted occasionally. To find out more and keep up to date, join the Tweebaa telegram channel(community) if you haven’t already.

Stakenet (XSN) - A DEX with interchain capabilities (BTC-ETH), Huge Potential [Full Writeup]

Preface
Full disclosure here; I am heavily invested in this. I have picked up some real gems from here and was only in the position to buy so much of this because of you guys so I thought it was time to give back. I only invest in Utility Coins. These are coins that actually DO something, and provide new/build upon the crypto infrastructure to work towards the end goal that Bitcoin itself set out to achieve(financial independence from the fiat banking system). This way, I avoid 99% of the scams in crypto that are functionless vapourware, and if you only invest in things that have strong fundamentals in the long term you are much more likely to make money.
Introduction
Stakenet is a Lightning Network-ready open-source platform for decentralized applications with its native cryptocurrency – XSN. It is powered by a Proof of Stake blockchain with trustless cold staking and Masternodes. Its use case is to provide a highly secure cross-chain infrastructure for these decentralized applications, where individuals can easily operate with any blockchain simply by using Stakenet and its native currency XSN.
Ok... but what does it actually do and solve?
The moonshot here is the DEX (Decentralised Exchange) that they are building. This is a lightning-network DEX with interchain capabilities. That means you could trade BTC directly for ETH; securely, instantly, cheaply and privately.
Right now, most crypto is traded to and from Centralised Exchanges like Binance. To buy and sell on these exchanges, you have to send your crypto wallets on that exchange. That means the exchanges have your private keys, and they have control over your funds. When you use a centralised exchange, you are no longer in control of your assets, and depend on the trustworthiness of middlemen. We have in the past of course seen infamous exit scams by centralised exchanges like Mt. Gox.
The alternative? Decentralised Exchanges. DEX's have no central authority and most importantly, your private keys(your crypto) never leavesYOUR possession and are never in anyone else's possession. So you can trade peer-to-peer without any of the drawbacks of Centralised Exchanges.
The problem is that this technology has not been perfected yet, and the DEX's that we have available to us now are not providing cheap, private, quick trading on a decentralised medium because of their technological inadequacies. Take Uniswap for example. This DEX accounts for over 60% of all DEX volume and facilitates trading of ERC-20 tokens, over the Ethereum blockchain. The problem? Because of the huge amount of transaction that are occurring over the Ethereum network, this has lead to congestion(too many transaction for the network to handle at one time) so the fees have increased dramatically. Another big problem? It's only for Ethereum. You cant for example, Buy LINK with BTC. You must use ETH.
The solution? Layer 2 protocols. These are layers built ON TOP of existing blockchains, that are designed to solve the transaction and scaling difficulties that crypto as a whole is facing today(and ultimately stopping mass adoption) The developers at Stakenet have seen the big picture, and have decided to implement the lightning network(a layer 2 protocol) into its DEX from the ground up. This will facilitate the functionalities of a DEX without any of the drawbacks of the CEX's and the DEX's we have today.
Heres someone much more qualified than me, Andreas Antonopoulos, to explain this
https://streamable.com/kzpimj
'Once we have efficient, well designed DEX's on layer 2, there wont even be any DEX's on layer 1'
Progress
The Stakenet team were the first to envision this grand solution and have been working on it since its conception in June 2019. They have been making steady progress ever since and right now, the DEX is in an open beta stage where rigorous testing is constant by themselves and the public. For a project of this scale, stress testing is paramount. If the product were to launch with any bugs/errors that would result in the loss of a users funds, this would obviously be very damaging to Stakenet's reputation. So I believe that the developers conservative approach is wise.
As of now the only pairs tradeable on the DEX are XSN/BTC and LTC/BTC. The DEX has only just launched as a public beta and is not in its full public release stage yet. As development moves forward more lightning network and atomic swap compatible coins will be added to the DEX, and of course, the team are hard at work on Raiden Integration - this will allow ETH and tokens on the Ethereum blockchain to be traded on the DEX between separate blockchains(instantly, cheaply, privately) This is where Stakenet enters top 50 territory on CMC if successful and is the true value here. Raiden Integration is well underway is being tested in a closed public group on Linux.
The full public DEX with Raiden Integration is expected to release by the end of the year. Given the state of development so far and the rate of progress, this seems realistic.
Tokenomics
2.6 Metrics overview (from whitepaper)
XSN is slightly inflationary, much like ETH as this is necessary for the economy to be adopted and work in the long term. There is however a deflationary mechanism in place - all trading fees on the DEX get converted to XSN and 10% of these fees are burned. This puts constant buying pressure on XSN and acts as a deflationary mechanism. XSN has inherent value because it makes up the infrastructure that the DEX will run off and as such Masternode operators and Stakers will see the fee's from the DEX.
Conclusion
We can clearly see that a layer 2 DEX is the future of crypto currency trading. It will facilitate secure, cheap, instant and private trading across all coins with lightning capabilities, thus solving the scaling and transaction issues that are holding back crypto today. I dont need to tell you the implications of this, and what it means for crypto as a whole. If Stakenet can launch a layer 2 DEX with Raiden Integration, It will become the primary DEX in terms of volume.
Stakenet DEX will most likely be the first layer 2 DEX(first mover advantage) and its blockchain is the infrastructure that will host this DEX and subsequently receive it's trading fee's. It is not difficult to envision a time in the next year when Stakenet DEX is functional and hosting hundreds of millions of dollars worth of trading every single day.
At $30 million market cap, I cant see any other potential investment right now with this much potential upside.
This post has merely served as in introduction and a heads up for this project, there is MUCH more to cover like vortex liquidity, masternodes, TOR integration... for now, here is some additional reading. Resources
TLDR; No. Do you want to make money? I'd start with learning how to read.

Different ways to get introduced to Blockchain technology

Link to AustralianTimes article: https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/at/different-ways-to-get-introduced-to-blockchain-technology/

Blockchain technology has been making a lot of noise in today's world, and a lot of youngsters are investing in this particular technology because of the kind of advantages that they are finding. Unlike the other financial transactions, the blockchain technology makes it extremely easier for the users to carry out the transactions.

Youngsters these days do not like to spend a lot of time and would want everything to happen at their convenience. Investing in Bitcoins or the cryptocurrency are considered to be beneficial and also highly profitable when compared to the other forms of trading, and that is yet another reason as to why some of the youngsters are getting attracted towards the blockchain technology.
However, there is still a lot of resistance shown towards blockchain technology, and some of the people are still trying not to use this technology because of the myths that revolve around the blockchain technology. This article we are going to explain some of the most important reasons as to how anyone interested in trading can start learning more about the different types of crypto wallets and start using them to make greater profits. To know more you can visit crypto engine app
There are a lot of articles and technical papers that get published on the Internet related to Bitcoin technology. To get convinced and also gain more knowledge about this particular form of the trading system, it is important to increase your awareness of the technology. You can get to see a lot of people that have made a profit using this trading system, and once you get to read all these things from a credible source, you would also be convinced and start making investments and increase your profits.
There are a lot of websites that are dedicated only to critics to write reviews on the blockchain technology and the Bitcoins. When you start reading through these reviews and get to know the revolution that the trading industry is going through, it becomes easier for you to enhance your knowledge on the overall blockchain technology.
This can be another source that could help you to start investing in this technology to increase your profits. The critics would not be biased, and they would have come up with the actual information which will help every trader to understand more about the cryptocurrency. Thus, reading through the reviews can be one of the most important ways to make proper decisions when it comes to making investments on Bitcoins.
There are a lot of news channels and media houses that keep covering extensively on the latest trading systems that are emerging in the space of investment. It is quite obvious that they would also be focusing upon the cryptocurrency and Bitcoins as they are considered to be the future of any country. Following these sources can help you to increase your awareness of the overall blockchain technology and also gain a general knowledge of the entire investment and trading system.
There are a lot of people that are keen on delivering technical seminars on the overall blockchain technology. These people would have had an ample amount of experience in this space, and that would give them the confidence to conduct such seminars and workshops.

LOEx Market Research Report on October 16: BTC still fluctuates between 11000-12000

LOEx Market Research Report on October 16: BTC still fluctuates between 11000-12000
[Today's Hot Tips]
1. [Report: The development trajectory of BTC is close to gold]
According to a Bloomberg article, as the stock market continues to fluctuate, investors are treating BTC with an attitude similar to gold and other assets. According to historical trends, by 2025, the price of BTC is expected to exceed the $100,000 mark. Bloomberg's "Crypto Outlook Report for the Fourth Quarter of 2020" pointed out that BTC may benefit from the increasingly volatile stock market and be regarded as a store of value like precious metals.
2. [Fed Governor: The Federal Reserve is committed to researching digital currencies but it is too early to set a timetable]
According to JIN10, Quarles, the governor of the Federal Reserve, said that the Federal Reserve is specifically committed to researching digital currencies, and it is too early to set a timetable for the Federal Reserve's digital currency work.
3. [ERC20 standard FIL counterfeit currency scam reappears]
The Chainsmap monitoring system of Chains Guard found that as the Filecoin mainnet has become a recent investment hotspot, the scam of forging "FIL" tokens with ERC20 contracts has also reappeared. These so-called FIL tokens were even created just two days ago, that is, they began to transfer funds to some addresses by way of airdrops. At the same time, a trading pair pool has been established in Uniswap with this token, and some people have participated in the transaction. Here, we remind investors to learn about Filecoin technology and common sense of investment before investing, and beware of such counterfeit currency scams.
[Today's market analysis]
Bitcoin (BTC)BTC has fluctuated significantly since the early hours of the morning. It fluctuated at first and rose to 11615.3 USDT at about 4 o'clock, and then quickly fell back. It is currently near 11500 USDT. Mainstream currencies have been mixed during the day. BTC is currently trading at 11524.1 USDT on LOEx, with an increase of 1.11% in 24h.
https://preview.redd.it/qzk9jnupiet51.png?width=554&format=png&auto=webp&s=92c6f5f110df58a672315c04a7cad091ef38e354
BTC still fluctuates in a narrow range around 11000-12000, and the market volume has not produced any obvious changes. In fact, the trend has been in a major cycle wedge from 2017 to the present. Now this wedge is in the triangular collection area, so the BTC price fluctuates more and more. This state may continue until next year. We will choose a general direction. In the short-term, we can sell high and buy low according to the rhythm of the shock.
It is worth reminding that do not judge when to start, because the global attitude towards digital currency and blockchain is a proactive situation recently, although some countries may not understand what blockchain means for the future world. But everyone seems to have reached a consensus that this is an emerging industry, and no one wants to be half behind in the battle for tickets to the digital world.
Operation suggestions:
Support level: the first support level is 11200 points, the second support level is 11000 integers;

Why is it still not too late to start and continue mining Ethereum in 2020?

Hedge risks
Whenever you’re afraid of losing income due to price fluctuations, buy Put Options (on Binance, for example) oand short ETH futures.

Cryptocurrency – The Next Scam?

Cryptocurrency: What is it?

Cryptocurrencies, today’s biggest investment fad is dominating the headlines. Take Bitcoin, the most famous (and perhaps the most notorious) cryptocurrency has exploded in popularity over the last calendar year, despite the fact that it has been around for nearly a decade. Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard of bitcoin, however, most do not know about the details behind the enigmatic cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin is a type of digital currency that was created by Satoshi Nakamoto back in 2008. However, the name Nakamoto is really an alias for an unidentified person, or group of people, who developed Bitcoin. Although there are numerous cryptocurrencies accessible now, Bitcoin has become the most popular one for investors.
Bitcoin was developed is such a way to evade tight government control on currencies while making online transactions simpler. The primary technology behind Bitcoin is a blockchain, a digital ledger in which public transactions made in cryptocurrencies are documented in a universal network of computers.

An ICO not an IPO

An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is an unregulated fundraising mechanism that is used for a new cryptocurrency undertaking.
Here’s how it works: Say a company is trying to streamline a car service payment system so that it can be digital and encrypted. Sounds like a good idea. Let’s name it CarCoin. The company will then produce a document basically specifying exactly how the process will work (generally called a white paper). Additionally, they will create an eye-catching website and describe why CarCoin is a great idea that could be very beneficial. Then, the company will ask for people to send them money (typically Bitcoin or Ether, but they’ll also take fiat). In return, the company will send them back some CarCoin. The “investors” hope that CarCoin will be used a lot and be high in circulation, which could potentially raise the value of the currency.
This is sort of like an initial public offering (IPO), where investors buy shares of a company. However, unlike an IPO investing in an ICO doesn’t award you an ownership stake in the company or startup you’re giving money to. You are hoping that in this instance, CarCoin currently a worthless currency, will ultimately increase in value down the line and make you money.

Oh, what a scam!

Unfortunately, whenever there is money to be made the swindlers are never far behind. This is especially true at the ICO stage. Anyone can launch an ICO as there is very little regulation in most countries such as the United States. This means that as long as you got the tech aspect set up you can get yourself funded. This obviously can result in one of two things: potential profit for an investor or massive scams. The cryptocurrency market is perfect for scammers because it’s relatively new, backed by tons of hype, and comprises of complex technology. It’s easier to sucker someone into investing in your ICO in 2018 than your bogus real estate business—and unfortunately, plenty of people have.

Fake bitcoin brokers

Unfortunately, whenever a new investment opportunity pops up there are plenty of fake brokers to go along with it and cryptocurrency is no different. Take Bitcoinopts for example. This “broker” does not allow you to buy and sell bitcoins or let you “watch your profit grow as we trade daily”. Rather they profit off of your deposit and never allow you to withdraw. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Many of these cryptocurrency brokers are the same fraudulent binary options brokers operating under a different brand. It has become so rampant that Facebook has instituted a blanket ban for all ads pertaining to Bitcoin, ICO’s and other cryptocurrencies

Report these cryptocurrency scams.
